Note! An off the shelf Micro SD Card will not work. You must first receive one that is pre-programmed from Global Electronics.
To replace the existing Micro SD Card, please follow the shut down instructions located here.
Note! Make note, or take a picture of the wires/connections on the rear of the Controller before proceeding. This is an example:
Note!Be sure to remove the power and all connections.
1. Remove all of the connections from the rear of the Controller.
2. Place on a table with the bottom side up. Remove each of the 4 screws.
3. Turn right side up and carefully remove the top half of the plastic case. You want the aluminum front and rear panels to remain in place.
Note! the rear panel has been removed for clarity.
4. Remove the existing micro SD Card by carefully pulling it out of the socket.
Set aside so it can be returned to Global.
5.Picture below shows empty socket.
6. Insert the new micro SD Card provided by Global into the socket. It will look exactly as it did before you removed the old card.
7. Re-Assemble the case. Note that the case top and bottom are keyed. Check to make sure the male and female match properly before attempting to put the case halves together again.
8. Re-attach the wires/cables. The Controller will boot as it normally does which takes a minute or two to complete.
9. Perform a full download (update the gate) from your Property Management System.
10. Use the existing packaging to put the old micro SD card in, and return to Global best way,
